Sweet 15th year photoshoot at Antigua Guatemala, Ruinas de Capuchinas

Sometimes either because we arrive early or because they have delay with the makeup or because they’re traveling from far away… sometimes we have to wait; sometimes a few minutes, sometimes more. But once the moment of starting to take the photos arrives, any desperation caused by impatience of waiting vanishes because it’s when the magic begins: capturing smiles, emotions, creating and freezing unforgettable moments that will stay as a memory of that special stage of the life: the memory of the 15th year birthday. The image of a princess suspended in time, a special moment, the dress, bouquet of flowers, shoes, a beautiful place and the own beauty of the youth of a happy quinceanera were confabulating in front of the lens of my camera to make me tell stories through digital and printed images that will be a beautiful gift from her parents, so that she can be able to relive the joy of that stage full of dreams and illusions years later.

That’s the way love stories are written, because that’s the celebration of the 15 springs; it’s the celebration of life itself, of the parent’s love for their most precious treasure: their daughters. And that’s how I like to tell these stories: enjoying every moment in life and loving what one does… They’re written with words or with posts like these ones I’m presenting today, from a photoshoot that took place at the ruins of the convent of the capuchinas a couple of days before celebrating the last independence day (September the 15th)

It was a couple of days before September the 15th and when we wanted to begin with the photos in the streets of Antigua, it was impossible, the streets were saturated by school parades and tourists.
They got up early to make the travel all the way from San Marcos, to be a little early for the photoshoot; and although they were a little bit late and we had to wait, they were really happy with how the photoshoot went, and so were we.
